Sakura Tsai

Sakura Tsai holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Violin Performance from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music where her mentors included Midori Goto, Kathleen Winkler, Hagai Shaham and Alice Schoenfeld. As an active performer of contemporary music, Sakura has championed works of living composers both as a soloist and chamber musician, performing with numerous Southern California independent ensembles. In addition to having a robust private studio, Sakura coaches regularly at Diamond Bar and Walnut High Schools and held faculty positions at Marymount California University, California State Summer School for the Arts, and Idyllwild Arts Academy.
